Senior Torrell Carter had 30 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 3 blocked shots to lead the Letcher County Central Cougar boys to a come from behind home 64-59 win over Hazard last night.  The Cougars were down by 8 going into the 4th quarter but got the win on senior night to pick up their 20th win against 8 losses.  The Cougars have won 8 of their last 9 games.  Senior basketball players Torrell Carter, Austin Banks and Austin Caudill along with senior cheerleaders, dance team and band members were honored.

The Cougar boys will wrap up the regular season tomorrow, Thursday, at home against Pike County Central.

The boys and girls 53rd District Tournaments begin this Monday at Knott County Central. 

The #13 UK Wildcats handled the Tennessee Volunteers 83-58 last night at Rupp Arena in Lexington.  The Cats were led by Malik Monk with 20 points an a career high 8 rebounds.  Derek Willis had 16 for the Cats with 5 players in double figures.  UK will be on the road this Saturday in their next game to play at Georgia.  Tipoff is at 6pm with pre-game starting at 4:30 here on the Bulldog.
